Early this morning my baby sister sent me a text simply stating, “thanks for being around for the last 20 years :)”. At first, I was not sure what she was talking about until I checked the date.
March 11, 1995 my life changed forever, because of a car accident. I came out of it alive, but with 3rd degree burns over 30% of my body. I spent the next 8 years going back-and-forth to the Shriner’s hospital in Cincinnati and home. That accident changed the direction of my life for the better.
I did not accomplish this on my own. I was carried much of the way through it. To this day I greatly value the efforts and hours the hundreds of nurse’s and support staff gave to care for me. They changed my bandages multiple times a day, helped me relearn to walk, tie my shoes etc… I’m extremely and eternally grateful to the 50+ doctor’s and surgeons who saved my arm and gave me a working hand and fingers. I’m equally grateful to the the Shriner’s organization and the Shriner’s who picked me up from the airport, who took time out of their daily lives to care for my grieving family and get us involved with the Shriner hospital. Finally, I’m completely grateful for my friends and family for giving blood, prayers, stopping by and constantly ensuring me it was going to be ‘OK’
The next day I got a work anniversary “congrats” from LinkedIn.
March 12, 2005 I started We Fix Em knowing nothing about running a business, no cash reserve and no fall back plan. I started my venture into entrepreneurship with having only the trait that I was good at working with computers and a strong desire to help others.
Thank all of you, present and past customers, which took a chance to trust WeFixEm over the years and for your continued faith in our service. With your help we are able to say we have been in business 10 years! Most start-ups are never able to say this and I truly appreciate you for the opportunity you have provided us.
March 13, 2015 and the next 10 years my dream of being able to help others with technology has become a reality. We have strong personal relationships with technology solution experts across the country; partnerships with companies like Google and Worldpay and with smaller less heard of companies like Code42 and CorKat. These strategic alliances will take us and our clientele into the next realm of technology and success.
My goal for the next 10 years is to help my clients in implementing these new and more efficient technologies, which will help them, be more profitable and to give them more time back.
Truly yours,
Alive today due to others care
Successful today due to others trust
