The Tin Man
We all know the story of oz before Dorothy went home
But I know what happened after she clicked to roam
Heals together she did three times because of Glenda
I was left behind to carry on the wizard’s agenda
You’ll remember me I was the man with out a heart
My new heart awoke when from a bubble came a love dart
Cupid it may have been, but my new heart fell in love again
First a little girl to protect but then a love that happens to men
When I saw the beauty that was in the bubble my tin turned flesh
Now a man clean through, to the good witch I was a little fresh
Her pale skin blushed as red as my heart that began to rush
With a wave of her wand she was gone smiling as if she had a crush
I watched her from afar seeing she was at peace at last in her bubble
Before, she was on her own with bad witches that caused her trouble
Her munchkins she cared for, now there grown calling her blessed
Sacrificing she did, keeping them fed working late while they rested
Now she has a new mission subtracting years from peoples’ faces
With a touch of her hand she gave me a new face, time she erases
The person I see in the mirror looking back at me has a new twinkle
Double the glow I contain because a love for her and a loss of a wrinkle
Her beauty not just skin deep overflowing with splendor inside and out
Her humility stays true inspiring all to be their better selves inside and out
With her gift she brings life to all she touches causing a spark of rejuvenation
Surprising to me, that even though she is a goddess, I won’t stop my flirtation
